Angela Gheorghiu is currently one of the most famous sopranos of the world. She graduated from the Music Academy in Bucharest and she made her international debut at Covent Garden in 1992 with "La Boheme". In 1994, the same scene, she played in "La Traviata".
She was invited to perform on the largest opera and concert stages around the world and has received awards such as: USA Critics Award, Choc du Monde de la Musique, Gramophone Award, Diapason d'Or, Cecilia Prize, and Female Artist of the Year - the classical music awards in Britain.

She starred in the movie "Tosca" with her husband, the famous tenor Roberto Alagna. His CDs always are in the top of the best selling classical music recordings.
