Peppe, che sarà entrato dalla sinistra, sulla risposta di Nedda corre a Canio e gli strappa il pugnale che getta via tra gli alberi.

La gente esce di chiesa
e a lo spettacolo qui muove!...
Andiamo... via, calmatevi!...
CANIO
