Una delle più belle esecuzioni di Caruso su questo disco di "contrabbando". Ecco la storia di questi dischi presa dal sito internet
"This is a 1921 bootleg issue of Enrico Caruso singing IDEALE, recorded in 1906. The British record company "HIS MASTER'S VOICE" (HMV) contracted with a German record company to make and sell records in Germany from HMV record masters, with royalties to be paid to HMV and Caruso. At the beginning of WWI, these masters were confiscated as 'spoils of war'.
This label was created in 1921 to sell these bootleg records in the U.S., but Victor Record Co in the U.S. quickly filed a lawsuit against Opera Disc Co and won. ODC was ordered to turn over all these records to Victor for destruction in 1923. As a result, the few remaining records are very rare today."
