Slovenian soprano Tajda Jovanovič (1993) studied at the Ljubljana Academy of Music in the class of assoc. professor Matjaž Robavs, and finished her Masters degree with excellence. For her outstanding achievements in the concert and opera field, she was honoured with the Prešeren Student’s Award by the University of Ljubljana. Currently, she is doing artistic training course at the Zagreb Academy of Music with professor Martina G. Silić.
During her studies at the Academy, Tajda performed the roles of Natasha (L. Coryell, War and Peace), Petra (Iztok Kocen, The Unfortunate Lover), Pamina (W. A. Mozart, The Magic Flute) and the Govrness (B. Britten, Turn of the Screw). She appeared as Marta at the Opera House Ljubljana (Tomaž Svete, Ada). Since 2017 she has been a member of the Slovenian Chamber Music Theater.
As a concert soloist Tajda has collaborated with the Russian Philharmonic - Moscow City Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana, the Slovenian Army Orchestra, the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir, the Wind Orchestra of the Academy of Music Ljubljana, Symphony Orchestra Domžale - Kamnik, and Gimnazija Kranj Symphony Orchestra, among many others.
Tajda has taken part in numerous national and international singing competitions and has been ranked in the highest places (Temsig 2016, Lav Mirski 2015, Petar Konjović 2014, Bruna Špiler 2014, Temsig 2014, Giovani Musicisti 2013). In 2017 she was a finalist at the International Competition Ferruccio Tagliavini in Austria.
Tajda has participated in masterclasses with Mabel Norma Kikat, Scott McCoy, Lena Lootens, Matjaž Robavs, Helena Lazarska and Ellen Rissinger.
