Questo estratto contiene quattro interpretazioni di Bertram tratte da "Robert le diable" di Meyerbeer, a confronto nelle registrazioni storiche e interamente ristrutturate di Giovanni Gravina (interprete di rilievo fra la fine dell'800 e l'inizio del '900 oggi pressoché sconosciuto) , Pol Plançon, Adam Didur e Nazzareno de Angelis.

The Devil's Opera 1 is the second volume of the prestigious Historic Collection HC - Historic Collection, dedicated to the evil opera figures: Bertram and Mephistopheles  are the evil characters in this first part (which is followed by The Devil's Opera 2), in the most famous version written and composed by Meyerbeer, Gounod and Berlioz 

This extract includes four interpretations of Bretram from Meyerbeer's "Robert le Diable" in comparison from historical and fully restored recordings by Giovanni Gravina (a relevant performer through the last years of the XIX and the beginning of the XX century, nearly forgotten today), Pol Plançon, Adam Didur and Nazzareno de Angelis.
