Lisa Algozzini is a young soprano who has already been recognized by the top opera professionals for having a powerful stage presence and a voice that possesses a colorful, rich, Italianate quality. Most recently she sang SUSANNA in 'Le nozze di Figaro' at the Trentino Music Festival in Italy and at the Manhattan Opera in New York, LAURETTA in 'Gianni Schicchi' at the State Opera Plovdiv and the State Opera Stara Zagora in Bulgaria, ZERLINA in 'Don Giovanni' in New York, MICAELA in 'Carmen' at Festival Santa Florentina in Spain, Mahler's 'Symphony No. 4' in Vienna and has made her Carnegie Hall Debut as the 2nd Place Winner in the Nico Castel International Master Singer Competition.
She is an alumna of many elite musical institutions including The Juilliard School, Aspen Music Festival, Renata Scotto Opera Academy in New York, Dolora Zajick Institute for Young Dramatic Voices, Nico Castel's New York Opera Studio and l’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy again studying with her mentor the legendary soprano Renata Scotto.
Ms. Algozzini was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and holds both American and Italian citizenship. She currently resides in Vienna, Austria.
