LISA ALGOZZINI is an Italian-American soprano who was born and raised in California and currently resides in Vienna. Most recently she has sung MUSETTA (La bohème) with the Opernspiele Munot in Switzerland where she was praised for "setting the perfect scene" by the Schaffhauser Nachrichten, the title role of Handel's ALCINA with the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg in Germany which was described by Der Tagesspiegel as "powerful and rich in substance," SUSANNA (Le nozze di Figaro) at the Teatro de la Paz in Mexico, Trentino Music Festival in Italy and also at the Manhattan Opera in New York, LAURETTA (Gianni Schicchi) at the State Opera Plovdiv and the State Opera Stara Zagora in Bulgaria, DESPINA (Così fan tutte) at the Sala dei Notari in Italy where she was partnered with Bruno Praticò as Don Alfonso, POPPEA (L'incoronazione di Poppea) with the Greek Opera Festival in Athens, MICAELA (Carmen) with Festival Santa Florentina in Spain which was noted for having "dramatic intensity" by La Vanguardia, ZERLINA (Don Giovanni) in New York, ADINA (L'elisir d'amore) in Croatia, DONNA ANNA (Don Giovanni) with the Vienna Summer Music Festival, Mahler's Symphony No. 4 with the Tonkünstler Ensemble in Vienna and has made her Carnegie Hall Debut as the 2nd Place Winner in the Nico Castel International Master Singer Competition. She is an alumna of many elite music institutions including The Juilliard School, Aspen Music Festival and has studied with Renata Scotto in her opera academies in New York and Rome.
