Le nozze di Figaro, zu deutsch Die Hochzeit des Figaro oder Figaros Hochzeit, ist eine Oper von Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart KV 492. Das italienische Libretto stammt von Lorenzo da Ponte und basiert auf der Komödie La Folle Journée ou le Mariage de Figaro (Der tolle Tag oder Die Hochzeit des Figaro) von Pierre Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais aus dem Jahr 1778. Die Uraufführung fand am 1. Mai 1786 im Wiener Burgtheater statt. Die Oper spielt am Schloss des Grafen Almaviva in Aguasfrescas in der Nähe von Sevilla um 1780.

si misura con Cherubin
Lasciatemi veder. Andrà benissimo!
Siam d'uguale statura ... giù quel manto.

Che fai?
SUSANNA
Niente paura.
LA CONTESSA
E se qualcuno entrasse?
SUSANNA
Entri, che mal facciamo?
La porta chiuderò.

Una mia cuffia
prendi nel gabinetto.

Susanna va nel gabinetto a pigliar una cuffia:
Cherubino si accosta alla Contessa, e gli lascia veder la patente che terrà in petto:
la Contessa la prende, l'apre: e vede che manca il sigillo.
Che carta è quella?
CHERUBINO
La patente.
LA CONTESSA
Che sollecita gente!
CHERUBINO
L'ebbi or da Basilio.
LA CONTESSA
gliela rende
Dalla fretta obliato hanno il sigillo.
SUSANNA
sorte
Il sigillo di che?
LA CONTESSA
Della patente.
SUSANNA
Cospetto! Che premura!
Ecco la cuffia.
LA CONTESSA
Spicciati: va bene!
Miserabili noi, se il Conte viene.

Susanna goes into the dressing-room to get a cap: Cherubino approaches the Countess and shows her his commission, which is sticking out of his breast pocket. The Countess takes it, opens it and notices that the seal is missing.
