"Il barbiere" has "Dunque io son" and "L'italiana in Algeri" has "Ai capricci". Yes, the much needed duet between the heroine and a funny little baritone. It's a classical three-part duet but, as in most cases of belcanto, it works well for the situation, as Isabella and Taddeo first quarrel and then reconcile, as being alone in a foreign land would be difficult (even for a crafty woman as Isabella).
Bryn Terfel and Cecilia Bartoli sing up quite a storm in this version, even though the former may be almost too handsome voiced for the classical buffoon Taddeo.
