Liane Synek (17 September 1922 in Vienna – 6 September 1982 in Hollabrunn) was an Austrian operatic soprano.
After her singing education she won a singing competition in 1950. Between 1951 and 1952 she sang at the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg and afterwards at the Opernhaus Wuppertal until 1954.
In 1954 she was appointed to the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, where she was one of the most popular artists until her death. At the same time she performed at the Staatsoper Berlin and the Cologne Opera.
In 1951 she sang in the Bayreuth Festival Choir, later Helmwige in Die Walküre and Erste Norn in Götterdämmerung. Guest performances took her to all major opera houses worldwide.
On 15 February 1965 she sang the world premiere of Zimmermann's opera Die Soldaten as "Countess de la Roche" at the Cologne Opera.
