I costumi del "Don Carlo" utilizzati nello spettacolo sono quelli della celebre produzione del Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, curata da Luchino Visconti.
Il Baritono Marco Severin (Rodrigo Marchese di Posa) si è infortunato il giorno precedente lo spettacolo ed è stato sostituito, all'ultimo momento, dal Baritono Lorenzo Carulli.
Ciò ha comportato il taglio del previsto Terzetto: "Che mai si fa nel suol francese" e della Romanza :" Carlo ch'è sol il nostro amore".
La Pianista Costanza Rufo, infortunatasi ad una mano il giorno precedente lo spettacolo, è stata sostituita, all'ultimo momento, dal M° Patrizia Gallo.
