After graduating the what is now Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 1969, for more than 20 years she sang in the Lithuanian Opera, Vilnius, and abroad (Germany, USA, France etc). Her repertoire includes Tosca and Aida, Senta and Elisabeth, Micaela and Margarita among other roles. She is also well known for her extensive discography.
