Dies ist eine meiner Referenzaufnahmen, die ich mir öfters anhöre. Hier stimmt das Gesamtpaket: musikalisch, sängerisch und sogar der Chor (hier der Ambrosian Opera Chorus) unter der Leitung von Giuseppe Sinopoli. Allerdings sollte man diese Aufnahme in Ruhe und ohne jegliche Nebengeräusche, Krach, Lärm etc. anhören, da es einige leise Passagen gibt! Für Einsteiger würde ich diese Aufnahme sogar zuerst empfehlen.

Leonora bacia la mano del Padre Guardiano, e s'avvia all'eremo, sola. I frati spentii lumi, rientrano collo stesso ordine in chiesa. Il Guardiano si ferma sulla porta e stendendo le braccia verso la parte ov'è scomparsa Leonora, la benedice.

Leonora kisses the Father Superior's hand, rises, and sets off alone for the hermitage. The Father Superior stretches out his arms towards her, blessing her.
