The great Corsican dramatic tenor Léon Escalaïs in the stunningly delivered cavatina from Giuseppe Verdi's first foray into French grand opera, Jérusalem. The aria and opera are reworked analogues of Verdi's earlier "La mia letizia infondere" and I Lombardi alla prima crociata, respectively.
