Why I consider Richard Tucker to be the prime Verdi tenor of the 50s/60s. Listen to how he sings the first 'o inferno!' and the last 'ch'io non la vegga piu!' The squillo is overwhelming. The sound is not very good but the power of the voice comes through magnificently. Anyways, enjoy.
Many thanks to my friend Mr. Steve for sending the recording to me and requesting the upload, and sorry to keep you waiting!
This is from a 1965 Boccanegra performance starring Z. Milanov as Amelia.
